Download from the vendor www.hec.usace.army.mil

HEC-FDA combines hydrologic, hydraulic and economic data in one flood risk analysis. You enter discharge-probability, stage-discharge and stage-damage relationships, and Monte Carlo simulation computes expected annual damage, annual exceedance probability and the assurance of levees and protection systems while accounting for uncertainty in each relationship. Water engineers and economists use it to compare alternatives such as a levee, raising buildings or a detention basin by their economic benefit. Limitation: it is built around the US Army Corps of Engineers planning methodology, and guidance and support are aimed mainly at USACE teams.
