HEC-ResSim

US Army Corps of Engineers, Hydrologic Engineering Center

HEC-ResSim
Download from the vendor www.hec.usace.army.mil

HEC-ResSim from the US Army Corps of Engineers simulates the operation of one reservoir or a system of reservoirs under operating rules, goals and constraints. You define the reservoir network, inflows and release rules, and get water levels, storage and flows over time. It is used for flood management planning, water supply planning and real-time decision support. It complements HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS from the same centre. Limitation: it runs on Windows, and the centre gives no phone or email support to users outside the Corps.
