INDEXwood — Timber Connections to Eurocode 5

Software for designing structural connections in timber using self-tapping screws to EN 1995-1-1, Eurocode 5. It checks failure modes in shear and torsion for different timber element types, and lets you enter the timber type, dimensions and loads to obtain suitable fixings. It draws on the INDEX database of CE-marked products. Timber connections are an area with almost no free calculation tool available, so this is a worthwhile addition even for someone not using that particular catalogue — if only as a point of comparison.
