ALOHA

US EPA and NOAA (CAMEO)

ALOHA

A program for assessing hazardous chemical release scenarios. You enter the chemical, storage conditions, type of release and weather, and get threat zones for a toxic cloud, flammable gas, explosion and fire. The zones can be shown on a map through MARPLOT, Google Earth or ArcMap. Process and safety engineers use it for emergency planning, risk surveys and training. Limitation: the latest version dates from 2016 and it is an approximate model that does not replace a detailed dispersion study.
