USGS VS2DI is a graphical package for 2D simulation of water flow in variably saturated porous media, with solute transport (VS2DTI) or heat transport (VS2DHI), plus a post-processor for viewing results. You draw the cross-section, assign soil layers and boundary conditions, and run everything from the same interface. Useful for infiltration basins, contaminant movement from the surface to groundwater, seepage beneath earth embankments, and for teaching. Limitations: 2D only; the latest version (1.3) dates from 2018 and was tested on Windows 7, so newer systems may show issues; Windows only.
