Acrobat Reader is Adobe’s PDF reader and displays even complex documents with forms, layers and digital signatures faithfully. You can add comments and markups, fill forms and sign, so it is useful for reviewing drawings, specifications and contracts. Alongside it are Acrobat online tools in the browser for converting, compressing, merging, editing and OCR. Limitations: Reader cannot edit text or images, and with a free account the premium online tools allow one transaction per rolling 30 days; online work uploads files to Adobe’s cloud.
