ANDES

ANDES computes Newton-Raphson power flow, runs time-domain simulation for transient stability, performs eigenvalue analysis for small-signal stability, and includes continuation power flow for voltage stability limits. It has more than a hundred dynamic models: generators, turbine governors, exciters, stabilisers, renewable energy and distributed resource models. It reads PSS/E RAW and DYR files and MATPOWER cases, and new models are defined as symbolic equations. It suits researchers and students. Limitation: there is no graphical interface, and the work is done in Python scripts.
