CODESYS is the programming environment of hundreds of controller makers, so knowing it is useful for industrial automation and building services. The development system includes editors for LD, FBD, ST, SFC and IL, object-oriented programming, reusable libraries, project comparison and compilers for many platforms, plus online debugging tools: watching values, forcing and breakpoints. The setup includes a demo version of CODESYS Control Win SL so you can practise without hardware. Limitations: Windows only, and running on a real controller or a production SoftPLC needs a paid runtime licence.
