Danfoss Coolselector2 calculates refrigeration circuits from the operating conditions you enter: cooling capacity, refrigerant, and evaporating and condensing temperatures. From these it selects and checks components such as expansion valves, filter driers and solenoid valves, and sizes liquid, suction and hot-gas lines with their pressure drop. Selections can be exported and a bill of materials created. It suits refrigeration and HVAC engineers designing and checking systems. Limitation: the component catalogue is the vendor’s own, and the desktop version is for Windows; Mac users get an online version.
