Portfolio Manager from the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is an online tool for measuring and tracking energy and water use, waste and greenhouse gas emissions for a single building or a whole portfolio. It lets users set targets and baselines, identify under-performing buildings, produce reports, share data, and assess the expected energy performance of new designs. In the US and Canada it calculates a 1–100 ENERGY STAR score against similar buildings. Suited to energy engineers, facility managers and sustainability consultants. Limitations: it is online only and requires an account; the ENERGY STAR score and certification are available only for buildings in the US and Canada.
