Mathcad Express lets you write engineering calculations as on paper: formulas in maths notation, units that are checked automatically, recalculation on every change and X-Y plots, with explanatory text in the same document. It comes as a 30-day trial of the full Mathcad Prime, and if you do not upgrade it reverts to the Express edition with no time limit. Limitations: it lacks advanced plots (polar, contour, 3D), differential equations, Fourier transforms and regression, and it may not be used commercially.
