A package for FDTD electromagnetic simulation, written and run through Python (as well as Scheme and C++). It supports 1D, 2D, 3D and cylindrical calculations, anisotropic, dispersive and nonlinear materials, PML absorbing boundaries and parallel computing with MPI. It includes mode decomposition, near-to-far field transformation and an adjoint solver for inverse design of components. It is used mainly in research and in designing optical and photonic devices. The recommended installation is through Conda.
