Mermaid

Mermaid open-source project

Mermaid

An open-source library that turns a simple text description into a diagram: flowcharts, sequence, class, state and entity-relationship diagrams, Gantt charts, timelines, mind maps and more. The diagram is stored as text, so it goes into version control and is easy to update. GitHub renders it directly in Markdown files, and there is a live editor in the browser. Well suited to documenting processes, schedules and system structures. Control over styling and the exact placement of elements is limited.
