SLAMMER

SLAMMER
Download from the vendor pubs.usgs.gov

USGS SLAMMER performs sliding-block (permanent-displacement) analysis to estimate how far a slope, embankment or earth dam will move during an earthquake. It ships with more than 2,100 strong-motion records from 28 earthquakes, lets you filter them by properties and add your own, and runs rigid-block (Newmark), decoupled and fully coupled analyses alongside simplified methods. Results are presented as graphs and tables. Suited to geotechnical and earthquake engineers. Limitations: it requires Java 7 or later; the latest version (1.1) was revised in 2014; it assumes the user understands the assumptions and limits of sliding-block methods.
