The Unarchiver is a simple macOS tool that opens archives the system cannot open by itself: RAR, 7Z, ZIPX, TAR, GZIP, BZIP2, XZ, CAB, MSI, ISO and BIN, plus legacy formats such as StuffIt, ARJ and LZH and split archives. It also handles file names in foreign character encodings well, such as archives created on computers in other languages. It suits an engineer on a Mac who receives files from suppliers and colleagues in various formats. Limitation: it only extracts and cannot create archives, and runs on macOS only.
