xBIM Xplorer is a viewer for IFC models built on the open-source xbim toolkit. It opens IFC2x3 and IFC4 models, shows the model in 3D with its object tree and properties, and offers schema validation, queries to extract data and stripping parts out of a file. Plugins let you create and view BCF issues, export COBie and validate against mvdXML. It suits BIM coordinators and engineers checking IFC files they receive. Limitation: Windows only, and federated loading of several models is still in beta.
