ART is a free RAW developer derived from RawTherapee that offers a leaner, simpler interface, with fewer controls but updated tools. It includes local editing with drawn and parametric masks, automatic perspective correction, star ratings and colour labels stored in XMP files, and LibRaw decoding. It suits an engineer who wants the quality of a professional RAW developer without RawTherapee’s learning curve, for example to straighten facades in building photos and fix exposure in field photos. Limitation: it is mainly a one-developer project, and documentation is relatively sparse.
