CAMotics Project

CAMotics

CAMotics runs a G-code file and shows in 3D what the tool will remove from the stock — before the machine touches it. That catches the most expensive mistakes: a rapid move into the material, a tool that never reaches depth, a collision with the clamps, or a path that produces a different shape than you expected.

It reads standard G-code from any CAM system and includes a scripting language for generating paths. Five minutes of simulation saves stock and broken tools.

Download and installation

CAMotics can be downloaded from the official site for Windows, macOS and Linux. It is open-source software, free and with no registration.

Frequently asked questions

Does CAMotics control the machine?

No. It only simulates the G-code. To send code to the machine, use a program such as Universal G-code Sender.

Which G-code does it read?

Standard G-code from most CAM systems.
