DaVinci Resolve brings timeline editing, colour correction and grading, compositing and effects (Fusion) and audio post-production (Fairlight) together in one program. An engineer can use it to edit a training video, footage of a test or of site progress, or a project video presentation at studio quality. The free edition handles 8-bit formats up to 60 fps and up to Ultra HD resolution with no watermark. Limitations: a dense interface with a steep learning curve, high hardware demands (especially the graphics card), and the AI tools, noise reduction and resolutions beyond 4K are reserved for the paid Studio edition.
