GNOME (Michael Terry)

Déjà Dup

Déjà Dup is GNOME’s simple backup tool: you choose which folders to back up and where, and it backs up regularly, compressing and encrypting before saving. Destinations are a local or external disk, a network server or a cloud service such as Google Drive, with the restic engine working behind the scenes. Files and folders are restored from within the tool, choosing the date to restore from. It suits an engineer or student on a Linux PC who wants the home folder backed up with no fuss. Limitations: Linux only, and it is meant for personal files, not full system recovery.
