I-Simpa

I-Simpa is a graphical pre- and post-processor for 3D acoustic simulations, shipped with two calculation codes: TCR and SPPS, which is based on sound particle tracing. You import the room geometry, assign absorbing materials to surfaces, place noise sources and receivers, and get sound level maps, reverberation times and other acoustic parameters. It suits mechanical and safety engineers assessing noise in production halls, and architects and acoustic consultants at design stage. Limitation: results depend on correct absorption data, and the documentation is relatively thin.
