JuPedSim is an open-source library from Forschungszentrum Jülich in Germany for simulating pedestrian movement. You define the geometry of a building or space, exits and routes, and the simulation shows how the crowd moves, where bottlenecks form and how long evacuation takes. Fire-safety engineers, architects and transport planners use it to plan evacuations and check crowd flow in stations, stadiums and buildings.
