Mathpix Snip

Mathpix Snip specialises in what ordinary OCR tools struggle with: you capture a screenshot of a printed or handwritten equation and get LaTeX, and from a table you get LaTeX, TSV, CSV or Markdown. It can also convert PDF documents to Word, LaTeX and Markdown. It suits students and engineers copying equations from standards and textbooks into a report, a calculator or code. It is available for Windows, macOS, Linux, the browser and mobile. Limitations: processing happens in the cloud and an account is required, and the free plan is very small — 10 images and 10 PDF pages a month, doubled with an academic .edu email.
