Netgen / NGSolve — Multiphysics Finite Elements

Two tools that work as one: Netgen builds the geometry and generates the mesh, NGSolve solves on it. What sets it apart is high-order elements — instead of refining the mesh to improve accuracy you raise the polynomial degree, which gives accurate results on far coarser meshes. It is driven from Python, so you can state the equations themselves rather than pick from a list of analysis types. Used for solid mechanics, fluid flow and electromagnetics, and it runs in parallel across multiple processors.
