OpenPLC is an open automation platform for programming controllers to IEC 61131-3. In the editor you write logic in ladder diagram, FBD or Structured Text, run it in the built-in simulator with a live debugger, and deploy it to a runtime that runs on Linux, Windows, macOS, Docker, Raspberry Pi and small microcontrollers. It is used to learn PLC programming, prototype control systems and run small projects. Limitation: for production deployments with IEC 62443 security, proprietary protocols and support, the company offers a paid edition.
