PyFR

PyFR is an open-source CFD platform for accurate high-order flow simulations, using the Flux Reconstruction method on unstructured meshes with mixed element types. It is built in Python and generates fast code for the hardware: NVIDIA, AMD, Intel and Apple GPUs as well as ordinary CPUs. It suits simulations of vortices and turbulent flow (LES and DNS) around complex bodies. Suited to researchers and experienced flow engineers. Limitations: there is no graphical interface — you work with configuration files and the command line, and the mesh comes from an external program such as Gmsh.
