Redmine Project

Redmine
Download from the vendor www.redmine.org

Redmine manages projects around issues: each one gets a type, priority, assignee, target version and status, and you can define your own workflow. It has a Gantt chart and calendar, time tracking, a wiki for documentation, document management and forums, and role-based permissions — so a client or contractor can be given limited access to their project only.

In an engineering office it suits defect tracking, change requests and coordination tasks between consultants particularly well — exactly where emails disappear.

Mature, stable and with a large plugin ecosystem. Installed on your own server.
