restic

A command-line backup program that comes as a single executable, with no server. Every backup is encrypted and only the parts of files that changed are transferred, so repeated backups of large project folders are fast and space-efficient. It supports many destinations, from a local disk and an SFTP server to cloud services, and can verify that a backup can actually be restored. There is no graphical interface, and scheduling is done through the operating system’s scheduler.
