Speckle solves a different problem from the viewers: not how to see a model, but how to move it back and forth between tools without losing information. It has connectors for Revit, Rhino, Grasshopper, Blender, AutoCAD, ETABS, SAP2000, QGIS and Excel, and sends geometry and properties as versioned objects — Git for design.

In practice that lets a structural engineer send an analytical model to the architect, see in the browser what changed between two versions, and build automation on the data.
