TaskJuggler

TaskJuggler project (Chris Schlaeger)

TaskJuggler
Download from the vendor taskjuggler.org

TaskJuggler is a project planning and tracking program in which you write the project as a text file: tasks, dependencies, resources, working hours and costs. The scheduler computes the timeline, levels resources and resolves conflicts automatically, and you can keep several scenarios to compare alternatives. Output includes HTML, CSV and iCalendar reports, time sheets and export to Microsoft Project. It suits large projects with many resources, such as a design team or construction schedule. Limitation: there is no graphical interface, and it takes time to learn.
