Xarchiver

Xarchiver

Xarchiver is a lightweight graphical archive manager for Linux and FreeBSD that depends only on the GTK libraries and is not tied to any desktop environment, so it is common on Xfce, LXDE and low-powered machines. It creates ZIP, 7Z and TAR archives with GZ, BZ2, XZ or ZST, and also opens RAR (via unrar), ARJ, LHA and CPIO, plus DEB and RPM packages even without their package managers. It suits a lab computer or small server with a minimal desktop. Limitation: it drives the system’s command-line tools, so each format needs the matching tool installed.
