Structure Synth — The Complete Guide: 3D Structures From Recursive Rules

Structure Synth creates 3D geometry from a small set of recursive rules, written in a compact language called EisenScript, rather than by modelling by hand. One rule such as “box, move, rotate, scale down — and repeat” produces a complex structure, and every change to the rule produces a new variation.

What you get

Who it suits, and the limitation

Architecture students and engineers who want to explore lattices, repeating patterns and facades generatively, or to create geometry for form studies. It is not a design tool: there are no engineering dimensions and no analysis. The project is no longer under active development and the last release is old — treat it as final.

Related tools

To process and present the model — Blender. For parametric modelling in code with exact dimensions — OpenSCAD. To check meshes — MeshLab.

The bottom line

Structure Synth is a small, inspiring tool for form exploration — free, but no longer actively developed.
