A long-established solid modelling system developed originally for the US Army, based on constructive solid geometry rather than surfaces. It includes its own ray-tracing engine and is aimed at analysis — penetration studies, mass and volume calculation, and simulations that need a watertight, exact model. Its interface resembles nothing modern and the learning curve is steep, but anyone who needs reliable geometry for analysis rather than for drawing gets a very mature tool.
