Camelot

Camelot extracts tables from PDF files and returns them as pandas data frames that can be exported to CSV, Excel, JSON, HTML, Markdown or SQLite. The lattice method suits tables with grid lines, and the stream and network methods suit whitespace-separated tables; you can also let the library pick a method per page. It is especially handy for moving tables of sections, loads and material values from PDF catalogues and standards into a spreadsheet instead of retyping them. Limitation: the standard methods need a PDF with real text; scans need the optional ml and OCR extras, and there is no graphical interface.
