A toolkit that runs an existing computational model (finite elements, CFD or any other program) repeatedly with varying inputs and analyses the results. It is used for design optimisation, parameter sweeps, calibrating models against measurements, sensitivity analysis and quantifying uncertainty and margins. It connects to the simulation code through input and output files, so the program itself does not need to change. The learning curve is steep and assumes familiarity with statistical methods.
