darktable

darktable is a program for RAW development and photo management: it catalogues photos in a database, shows them on a lighttable with ratings and labels, and in the darkroom you correct exposure, colour, perspective, noise and lens distortion. Editing is non-destructive and the original file is never changed. It suits an engineer who shoots site records, defects or buildings with a serious camera and wants to recover detail in dark or bright areas while keeping an orderly archive. It has colour management and GPU acceleration. Limitation: the learning curve is steep, and importing large libraries is relatively slow.
