OOFEM is an open-source finite-element solver developed at the Czech Technical University in Prague, with a civil engineering focus: advanced models for concrete (cracking, creep and shrinkage), soils, shells and beams, as well as heat conduction, moisture transport and coupled problems. It suits nonlinear analysis of concrete members and materials research. It has no graphical interface: you work with text input files or from Python, and build the mesh in Gmsh or SALOME. The licence explicitly allows commercial use.
