PDF24 comes in two forms: PDF24 Creator, a Windows program with a virtual PDF printer and dozens of tools that run on your computer without internet, and PDF24 Tools, the same tools in the browser. You can merge and split files, compress drawing sets for email, run OCR on scanned documents, compare two versions, convert to and from Office and reorder pages. In an engineering office it helps assemble a submission package or report from several sources. In the browser version files are uploaded to the vendor’s servers and deleted automatically within one hour of processing; for sensitive documents the local Creator is the better choice.
