Raven Hydrological Framework

University of Waterloo (James Craig and team)

Raven Hydrological Framework
Download from the vendor raven.uwaterloo.ca

Raven lets you assemble a catchment hydrological model from more than 80 process algorithms, such as infiltration, evaporation, snowmelt and groundwater flow, and more than 40 forcing function generators. The basin is split into subbasins and hydrological response units, and you can include withdrawals and inflows, time-varying reservoir operating rules and land use change. It is used for flood forecasting, reservoir management and research on how processes are represented. Limitation: models are defined in text files without a graphical interface, and on Linux you must compile it yourself.
