BBEdit is a Mac text and code editor with strong search and replace, including grep across whole folders, syntax highlighting, live HTML and Markdown preview, editing files inside Zip archives and document rescue. It suits processing large data files and logs, cleaning CSV files and editing scripts. For the first 30 days all features are unlocked, after which it keeps working in a free mode with no time limit. Limitation: macOS only, and free mode lacks Git, LSP, projects, Text Factories, Clippings and shell worksheets.
