ChemSep LITE

ChemSep / Harry Kooijman & Ross Taylor

ChemSep LITE
Download from the vendor www.chemsep.org

ChemSep computes separation columns using the rate-based non-equilibrium method alongside the classical approach, giving results closer to the real behaviour of a tray or packing. It covers distillation, absorption, liquid-liquid extraction and azeotropic distillation, and ships with a component database and thermodynamic models.

**The free LITE edition is limited to 40 components and 300 stages.** For coursework, order-of-magnitude checks and most column designs that is ample; the limit matters mainly for very large multi-component systems.

It integrates directly with COCO, together forming a complete free process environment.
