CoppeliaSim, formerly V-REP, is a robotics simulation environment: you build a scene with arms, mobile robots, sensors and obstacles, define behaviour with scripts, and run the simulation with dynamics engines, forward and inverse kinematics and collision detection. It is used to teach robotics, plan motion and test control algorithms before trying them on a real robot. Limitation: the Edu edition is only for students, pupils and teachers, and is forbidden for companies, research institutes and commercial use.
