Lethe is a family of solvers built on the deal.II finite element library that simulates incompressible flow, multiphase flow, particle motion with the discrete element method (DEM) and their coupling. It supports distributed adaptive meshes, immersed boundaries for moving bodies and parallel runs on clusters. Examples include stirred tanks, liquid-solid fluidised beds, a dam break and melting in a cavity. It suits process and mechanical engineers modelling mixers, pneumatic conveying and granular systems. Limitation: no GUI, set-up is via parameter files, and on Windows it is installed through WSL.
